Couples Counselling in Fareham
Life in and around Fareham moves quickly — long commutes, demanding jobs, and family routines that leave little room for each other. It's no surprise that many couples drift, or find the same tensions surfacing again and again. If that sounds familiar, couples counselling offers a calm, unhurried space to reconnect.
I'm Marion Morris, a BACP registered counsellor with a Certificate in Working with Couples and over 2,500 hours of experience. I work with couples from Fareham, Portchester, Titchfield, Stubbington and Locks Heath, in person and online.
Couples counselling that fits around Fareham life
Fareham sits well-connected between Portsmouth and Southampton by the M27 and rail, and my Southsea practice is a straightforward drive for in-person sessions.
For couples juggling work and childcare, evening appointments and online sessions by Zoom or telephone make it far easier to find a time you can both commit to — without one of you rushing in late and frazzled.
What couples counselling can help with
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit. Counselling can help when you are experiencing:
- • Communication breakdown and feeling unheard
- • The same arguments repeating without resolution
- • Loss of trust, including after infidelity
- • Emotional or physical disconnection and growing apart
- • Navigating big changes — parenthood, work stress, illness, or loss
A psychodynamic, unbiased approach
I work from a psychodynamic perspective, gently exploring how each of your histories and relationship patterns shape what happens between you now. I don't take sides or hand out verdicts — my role is to help you both feel heard and understand one another more clearly. You can read more about my full approach on the main couples counselling in Portsmouth page.
Sessions and getting started
We begin with a free introductory call so you can both get a sense of how I work. Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £65, and can be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. You can read more on the sessions and fees page, learn more about Marion, or explore counselling in Fareham more generally.
Common questions about couples counselling in Fareham
Do you offer evening couples sessions?
Yes. Evening appointments are available specifically to help busy couples find a time that works around work and family commitments, in person or online.
Where are in-person sessions held?
In-person couples sessions take place at my practice in Southsea (PO4 9NZ), an easy drive from Fareham. Telephone and Zoom sessions are also available if travelling is difficult.
How much does couples counselling cost?
Couples sessions are £65 for 50 minutes. A free introductory call is offered first so you can both see whether it feels like the right fit.
We keep having the same argument — can counselling help?
Yes. When the same conflict keeps returning, it usually means the real issue underneath hasn't yet been put into words. Together we slow those moments down and understand what each of you is really asking for, so you can respond differently.
Ready to Take the First Step?
It's completely normal to feel nervous about reaching out. There's no pressure — you can ask questions, share what's on your mind, or simply see if it feels right. Your first session is a chance to meet me and decide if my approach works for you.
